A complex procedure is difficult to explain with written words, but you can make it easy to understand if you record it. FlashDemo Studio allows you to record your actions and insert various annotations. The recording can be saved as a video file or a Flash movie, so you can make sure that anyone can view your tutorials or presentations.

The software is free to try for 15 days. You will encounter a few nag screens, while using the trial version, but you will be able to use all functions, without any restrictions. The program can be installed fast and easy and it does not use too many resources.

You can think of FlashDemo Studio as a lightweight video editor with recording capabilities. When you start a new recording, the main interface will minimize automatically and a wizard will present a few options. You can choose to record the entire screen, a selected area or a targeted window. You can also set up keyboard shortcuts for starting, stopping or pausing the recording and set the program to record your voice.

When you complete your configurations, you just need to hit the appropriate hotkey, wait for a countdown and carry out the actions you wish to record. Once you stop the recording, the software will load it on its interface instantly. While previewing your recording, you can add lines, shapes and notes, but you may also insert audio files, images or buttons.

Inserted items can be configured on a separate window. For example, if you create a new button, you can make it simple, invisible or 3D, add text, select a color and of course, assign an action, such as starting or stopping the presentation, going to a web site and more.

Recordings can be saved as video files, in MPG or MP4 format, as Flash movies or stand-alone executables. The wizard will display different output options, depending on the selected format, but they are not hard to understand. Exporting a project should not take more than a minute, regardless of the output format.

Pros

You can record your actions on a computer and add numerous annotations. The software can export your recordings in MPG, MP4 or Flash format. Everything, from recording the screen to exporting the project can be done without any kind of difficulties.

Cons

There are no serious drawbacks to mention. Examples, tutorials or any other demonstrations can be recorded and edited fast and easy, thanks to FlashDemo Studio's simple and efficient design.
